1. Exception Handling
TimeCore handles exceptions - that is unexpected errors - using the TimeCore Fault Manager. Hopefully, you will never need this feature but if you do the Fault Manager can help us to help you.
On the rare occasion that TimeCore does encounter a problem it is not explicitly designed to handle, it first displays a warning dialog which you can either decide to ignore or from which you can invoke the Fault Manager dialog.
 |
When an exception does occur we recommend that TimeCore is always shut down and re-started, whether or not you decide to use the Fault Manager. |

Error Diagnostics
Displayed in red, this diagnostic information represents the environment in which TimeCore was running at the time the fault was detected which can help us to replicate the problem and thus determine a solution.

Privacy Statement
No personal or other identifying information can be derived from the error diagnostics. |
Optional Comments
Below the error diagnostics is an area in which you can add any additional comments you think might be useful. For example, a brief description of what action you were performing in TimeCore just prior to the error; can you re-produce the error at will or does it seem to be intermittent?, etc. Basically, no detail is too small, insignificant or irrelevant.

Actions
The following actions can be initiated from the Fault Manager -
Help: Opens this help page in your default browser!
Online: Attempts to send the error diagnostics and your comments directly to our server. At the same time it checks for any known solutions or workarounds and provides a link if found. Recommended!
Clipboard: Copies the error diagnostics to the clipboard and offers to automatically compose an e-mail message using your default e-mail client application (with Subject: and To: fields already completed). Please note the Fault Manager will only attempt to create a new message, it will not send it. To paste the error details, the usual keyboard combinations can be used - SHIFT-Insert or CTRL-V.
Close: Closes the Fault Manager dialog. You can still open it retrospectively by running the tcFaultMgr.exe executable installed in the same location as the main TimeCore Pro application, it will always show the last exception to be raised in this case.
